The Soft Thorned Wings
The Soft Thorned Wings depicts a bird with wings that feel both soft and sharp at the same time, like skin that is tender but protected by hidden thorns. The work explores desire as something physical and instinctive, where pleasure and slight pain exist together in the same sensation.
The wings are imagined as extensions of the body, hinting at intimacy, touch, and adult tools of pleasure as part of personal exploration and freedom rather than taboo. It reflects a body that is awake to sensation, allowed to stretch, feel, and test its own limits.
In this work, desire is not abstract but embodied, present in texture, contact, and the tension between comfort and stimulation.
