Fungjai Crossplay 2
: Single Cover
The first time I listened to this song, the music alone already made me feel as though I was floating, and it genuinely made me want to rest. As I continued listening to the lyrics, I began thinking about the truth of life: where there is birth, there is also death, and nothing is permanent. Whether it is an ordinary person, a living creature, a plant, or even a lion, everything must one day rest and eventually cease to exist. It is as though we are only tiny points in the world. Even when we stop, the world can still continue, because everything is constantly arising, fading, and changing.
(A resting lion can be seen in the image because I wanted to subtly incorporate the Rasta influence from T-Bone’s version of the song. It also happened to fit perfectly with my interpretation.)
Fungjai Crossplay 2, a very special project by Fungjai, is a collaboration between six established artists and six younger artists from different labels and musical genres. They come together to cover one another’s songs, opening up new perspectives and exchanging musical ideas in a way that invites everyone to share in the excitement.
